Traditional

A rare sight in Singapore. It takes more than a gutsy performance to bare his top in front of a street in bugis. Well done Uncle! I would like have a try too!

Busy

FULLY LOADED

I have just updated my organiser with all my events for the upcoming months, be it tests, APS, drums, etc etc... and I only have 3 alphabets, OMG!!!!

How can somone who's studying, not working (not counting APS til i grad) have such a horrific schedule? I have not included in Touch Rugby, which is my good fren Seb's newly established club and Diving, which I'm learning w Deszo n Kaibin from Chuan ser. If everything is to be put in place, I'll be occupied everyday of the wk. Cool huh? Haha. As studies is my top priority, I have to achieve a balance. If stress continues to build up or I find it hard to conc on my studies, den sacrifices will have to be made along the way. But,

I'm enjoying my life right now.

Life as a student does not equate to Robinson Crusoe with books as his companions.

Live ur Life as a student to the fullest!! Learn how to manage time efficiently and pursue what u wan to achieve but always dun have the courage nor time to do so.

Ice Cream

Ice Cream

Today marks the end of my 6 consecutive lessons for my new sch term. Yeah! Went for my lifesaving lesson after the afternoon class and bought my 1st pair of goggles since primary sch. It wasnt my norm to wear goggles for my swim. It was the total immersion training that changed my way of swimming.

It was nice of deszo to drop by since he has passed his bm test and wasnt required to attend the training. I sorta miss my sunday morning training group since we have been together for > a year now. It was fun training together. Although our age gaps are quite significant, we still managed to click well. Sometimes we still went for lunch after our morning tr sessions, n its my fav prata!

Anyway, here's a summary of my grp:

Ng Chuan Ser - Coach. Managing Director of the V3 Aquatic Club.
Margarette - Chuan Ser's wife. Also learning w us. Very very nice lady!!!!
Eddie - Margarette's bro. Not sure if he's older den margarette. Former commando. Fit!
Steven - Magarette's youngest bro. Full of jokes and felt like an older bro to me.
Quak - In his 50s but still as fit as a cow. Joining triathlons and marathons.
Soh - Chuan Ser's 'Shi Gong' in diving. Very Experienced diver. Athlete too.
Raymond - Another athlete. Good swimmer. He looks like a powerhouse!
Veron - The 2nd lady in the group. Although i didnt c her much. But she swims well!
Deszo - My best fren from army! Always there to support me. A fish when he's in the water!
Kai Bin - My buddy when we took the test. Haha. Lean and a typical runner.

Eddie's children are learning swimming form chuan ser too. I get to c them on sat nites! As u know i love kids! So they really brighten up my nites in the freezing pool. This sat night training group is not fun at all... They are seperated into groups themselves. Doesnt talk much n the lesson gets pretty boring and very technical. Luckily there's deszo today. Anyway deszo name is actually desmond. Just that i prefer to call him deszo, it sounded more cool! He's studying dentistry in NUS. A future doc to be...not too bad eh. haha.

Deszo influenced me extremely during my ns days. Or else i'll still the typical floating guy u know in my earlier sch days. I take more pride in myself and I'm more confident in achieving what i aim for. He's a role model to me, and sometimes I'm talking like him without me realising it! I'm still learning to be like him, multi tasking sch and other activities together! He can still come for training when his exams is nxt week! Haha. I wanna be like that too! Bein able to efficiently manage time well is what i wan to achieve this semester! Tanks deszo for always encouraging me! U rocks! I hope that i also have this positive effect to the friends around me! Do I?

Anyway, now ya must be wondering why i havent said anything about ice cream rite? haha. I tink i'll tell u the story another time. kinda tired now. I'm always drifting from the topic which i wanted to express. Sry about it. Time to sleep! Still got attachment tom and i know the water's gonna be freezing again...!!!!

Burnt

Burnt! + fun!!

Catch my burnt body recently? Thats due the hellacious last wk end. I attended the total immersion course for swimming over the wk end and ended up in this terrible state. The course last from 9 to 6, and that's am to pm. We did have some theory lesson and lunch breaks in bet, but the sun's not showing any sympathy for us. N due to the recent monsoon season, the water's freezing! Haha. Sound abit incredible eh, but its true.

After my training on sat, i took out my hp and i saw 7 new msg. Lotsa ppl msg me, and there're all probs. Like they cant make it for yiching bd celebration, or they'll be late. Well i did stress the importance of meeting on time so as to secure our vilage seats. The end results are only 8 of us who arrived on time, out of 20 seats which i reserved. Vilage's stand is to have at least 15 seats b4 we can enter. However, we still managed to get in w our 8 ppl. Cool? All thanks to the power of fred! haha.

I wanted to wish those who are ill on sat a fast recovery, regardless of what illness they suffer. Some are really ridiculous illness...haha. I mean we're all adults now. I cannot control 'illness'. I'm also sick on the christmas party aint i? All that i can say is, pls do not give false hope...they'll only cause more bloops.

It was a party feast! It was fun to see all my sticks again, catching up w them. Hope to c u guys soon... i wont be planning another outing anytime soon! I tink u shd know y! haha.

I reached home at 3am and the 2nd day of training starts at 8 am. I was a walking zombie when i got there. The tough weather kicks in again! Its was kinda funny seeing guys rubbing tons of suntan lotion for each other. But we're still burnt. My lips hurt like hell. But i'm still excited to
benefit from the 2 days of training. I still needs lotsa practice to further improve my strokes.

I just ko when i reach home. Damn Shag...

Wanna thank body shop aloe vera gel for curing my burns. It really work wonders!
And all the ppl who attended yc party! Thanks man!

New Year

2007

Its 2007!!!
2006 passed in a 'flush'. My 2006 officially started after my ord 310506. Cant remb what i achieved in 2006. Managed to adjust to the schling days. Met new great sticks there. Things managed to work out quite well. I still keep in touch w my sec, jc and army frens. Not too bad!
However the environment is quite crappy. Haze, earthquake, floods... It didnt affect me eminently. But it gave me gitters as our world is falling apart.

2006 for Tingwei is
Relationship - 9/10
Family -9/10
Sch - 8/10
Achievements - 5/10
Overall - 7.5/10
